This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 09, 2007:
I have to admit to a major disappointment in the leadership in Congress. I was hopeful that when the Democrats got into power they would have some courage to force the President to get us out of Iraq. So far I just hear a bunch of talk and little action. It has become clear to me that this problems was created by those in politics. This problem cannot be resolved at the same at the same level of consciousness that created it. In other words we the people must be the deciders and bring about the changes we want to see in the world.
I think it is time for a People's Party run by people, not corporations and special interests. Our elected officals and the corporations are not looking out for the people. Power and profit seems to be the creed of those who do the best to control us by fear.
Isn't it time we quit hoping for real leadership and become the leaders?
Isn't it time we say stop this insanity of killing each other in the pursuit of power?
Isn't it time we put the health of the planet as a priority over profit?
Isn't it time our country of such displace wealth say yes to medical care for everyone?
Isn't it time to say corporation are set up for the good of the people and if they are not doing good for the people then they must cease to be in corporated?
Isn't it time to evolve past electing people of ego driven arrogance who rationalize all that they do in the name of protecting us?
Isn't it time to move past the childish ways of people telling other that their beliefs/religions are right and other are wrong?
Isn't it time to treat each other with respect, kindness and compassion instead of judgement?
Isn't it time to make banks, insurance companies, drug companies and other accountable to the people?
Isn't it time to make this world a better place for us and future generations?
Isn't it time to put the war machine driven businesses, the nuke business and others out of business?
Isn't it time to put our resources into developing the technologies necessary to generate clean power and to better serve the needs of people everywhere on the planet.
Isn't it way past time to say the world we want is for everyone and it has lots of joy, love, peace and compassion.
There are so many concerns, so many things to do. Are you ready to step into the full power of your purpose here on this planet?

Help

is it possible some actions through politics can make a difference? if people get behind right acitons, that is? I appreciate what you say on the problems not being able to be resolved by those who created them, but what about those in politics that are trying to do the right thing?

This bill calling for a dept. of Peace needs our attention, I think we can make a difference here.
Thanks Pia for the comment. I do agree there are people trying to do the right thing and they need our support. The system may not work that well but there are people trying to do well. Maybe the best we can do is build the world we want from the bottom up instead of the top down. The top down method is not working. We can create our lives as we want, we can live our truth and do what we know is right, we can organize and gather together to stand up for what matter. We can live by our values and follow our purpose.
Have a good week, Joseph
